One of my favorite analogies for the Christian life is that of a journey. When we choose to be followers of Christ, we are told that in essence we are choosing to walk through the small gate and travel the narrow road. And that road can be a very lonely path to follow at times. But we can take courage in knowing that Jesus promises us that we will never walk alone. Each step that we take on this journey of faith we take alongside the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And we also take it alongside other people of faith.
That's my favorite part of ministry...walking alongside people as they discover where God will lead them on this exciting journey of faith. Sometimes that road is smooth. Sometimes it is treacherous. Sometimes the path is full of joy and other times it is full of heartache and sorrow. Whatever your path may look like at this point in your life, I cherish the opportunity to walk alongside you to encourage you and share with you as you take steps of faith on this journey called life.
